Escape the Cold and Join Us in Austin for the 2026 Annual Meeting!

Just when I thought I had seen it all, I receive notification that we’ll have a wind chill in the negatives this weekend here in the “loveliest village on the plains” (Auburn, AL). I thought I left this weather behind in Virginia and, before my friends in Minnesota call me soft, I’ll have you know that my snow boots have been used once in the last 8 years and we don’t have an LL Bean. It makes me want to fly further south for the winter.

GOOD NEWS: In less than a month we’ll all be flying even further south… to beautiful Austin, Texas for the 2026 AEMA-ARRA-ISSA Annual Meeting! While the event is branded with a beautiful guitar, what I’m most excited about is the warm weather, award winning Tex-Mex, and getting to see all of my pavement recycling friends while we talk about the past, present, and future of the industry.

If you’re aren’t sure if you’re going to make the trip, I have a few questions for you. (1) Are you curious about FDR use in the largest state in the continental United States? You’ll hear about it in Austin. (2) Want examples of how HIR, FDR, CIR, and CCPR have all been used successfully in a single district? We have it. (3) Sharpening your leadership skills to promote employee wellness and company culture to retain employees? We’ve got the talk for you! (4) Wondering if ARRA recycling strategies get recognized in the Perpetual Pavement Awards Program? Oh yes… We’ll also have committee meetings, networking opportunities, and much more!

For those of you bracing for another snowstorm this weekend, I hope you get all the milk and bread you need for those milk sandwiches. And don’t forget to buy all the toilet paper! I’m kidding. Really though, be safe, and I can’t wait to see you in Austin February 17-20th!
