ARRA Recognizes 2024 Award Recipients

Over the past few months, award nominators went to local events to honor the 2024 ARRA Award winners in front of their peers.
ARRA's President Award| On July 16, 2024 ARRA President Jason Wielinski and Bucky Brooks, formerly with Asphalt Materials Inc, presented the 2024 ARRA President's Award to the late Scott Assenmacher at the Scott Assenmacher Memorial Golf Outing. The award was presented to his wife, Keri and children Hunter and Hannah at the Green Meadows Golf Course in Monroe, MI. |  |
Roads & Bridges/ARRA Award- FDR & CIR| Mike O’Leary, Everett Crews and John Morgan traveled out to Tucumcari, NM to recognize the NMDOT for the CIR and FDR projects they funded, designed, and constructed last season. Roads & Bridges awarded Fisher Sand and Gravel and the NMDOT for these projects. With help from Rick Padilla, NMDOT Executive Director – Highway Operations, they were able to present these awards to District 4 and 5 during the Transportation Commission in Tucumcari, NM on July 18th. The Commission Meeting was well attended with most of the commissioners in attendance as well as the Cabinet Secretary, Ricky Serna and FHWA’s Division Administrator Cindy Vigue. |  |
ARRA Excellence in Full Depth Reclamation Award| On June 18, 2024, Tom Flowers, Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, honored Kit Black with the 2024 Excellence in Full Depth Reclamation Award at the AGC/TxDOT Amarillo District quarterly meeting in front of local contractors and district personnel. Shane McDade with Texas Road Recyclers is also pictured. |  |
Roads & Bridges/ARRA Award-HIR| During the City Council Chambers, (L-R) Todd Gonser [Cutler], Jeremy Clayton (Engineering Inspector Supervisor), Kimberly Dall (Assistant City Engineer), Matthew Matuszewski (Capital Improvement Program Manager), all with the City of Littleton, CO received the Roads & Bridges/ARRA Award for the County Line Rd. Project. This crew has already made numerous Conference Presentations including Colorado APWA Construction Inspectors Conference, Colorado Asphalt Pavement Association, Colorado Association of Road Supervisors & Engineers. Next up at the 2024 Public Works Expo (PWX), and of course the ARRA/RMAUPG Recycling Summit. |  |
