2023 ARRA Pavement Recycling Summit is Heading to Indianapolis

The Asphalt Recycling & Reclaiming Association (ARRA) is heading to Indianapolis, Indiana for the 2023 ARRA Pavement Recycling Summit, October 2-5, at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel and Suites.

The Pavement Recycling Summit Planning Committee, which includes Jason Wielinski, Program Chair, Zach Robinson, Dan Schellhammer, Brad Schneider, Nick Cosenza, Tim Aschenbrener, John Morgan, Bryan Ray, and Steve Cross, has been hard at work planning the Summit.

Based on feedback from ARRA Members and previous attendees, the schedule has some new and exciting changes this year! First, all technical presentations will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Offsite Tour, which will be held at Heidelberg Materials, will take place on Thursday morning. For planning purposes, attendees that choose to attend this event will return back the hotel by 1pm ET. Bus transportation will be provided.

Second, the Agency Roundtable is back! Any agency, state or local, is encouraged to attend this agency only meeting which will be a working lunch on Tuesday.

Third, presentations on Tuesday will focus on various agencies providing information on how recycling fits into their pavement program. Attendees will hear from both state and local agencies. The day will end with a panel discussion between the presenters.

Bringing some Indianapolis flair to the meeting, the keynote speaker is Alec Pierce who was the Indianapolis Colts’ second round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Piece caught his first career touchdown pass in week six against the Jacksonville Jaguars and finished his rookie season with 41 receptions for 593 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Additionally, attendees will be able to attend the NCAA Hall of Champions for a cocktail reception on Tuesday. The NCAA Hall of Champions will allow attendees to network while enjoying 24 interactive kiosks, 70-seat theater showing a short film on the NCAA, ½ court basketball gym, and two sports simulators.
