Preview ARRA’s Technical Session at the 2023 Annual Meeting:

Jason Wielinski, ARRA Program Chair has been hard at work along with the Annual Meeting committee to put together a program for their Technical Session!

This year’s ARRA Technical Session will be held on Thursday, March 2^nd from 2-5 PM, MST. First, attendees will hear from Matt Manthey, City of Mesa, and Nye McCarty, AZDOT on their Cold Recycling projects in Arizona. Next, Jenna Bowers, Ingevity, will step up to the podium and provide information on developments in foam and emulsion for nighttime construction, elaborating how newly engineered emulsions are cationic systems designed to break faster and build cohesion in the mixture. [AM1] Kierstin Janik, Asphalt Materials, will be discussing the industry challenges regarding workforce development, and the steps her and her team are taking to solve them. To wrap up, Dr. David Jones, University of California, will provide a high-level overview of recently completed research on shrinkage-crack mitigation on full-depth recycling with cement (FDR-C) projects.

ARRA’s Marketing Committee Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 28^th at 5:00 PM MST. On Wednesday, the ARRA FDR/SS Committee Meeting is scheduled for 7:00 AM , Cold Planing Meeting at 3:30 PM, and the ARRA Annual Business Meeting at 4:30 PM. The ARRA CIR and HIR meetings are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 2nd and will take place consecutively.
